BEAM Workshop visit Tobermore
Tobermore Primary School have been very fortunate. BEAM workshop visited our P6/7 children and spent a super session about being online and the different accounts and apps we all use.
The children demonstrated a brilliant knowledge and worked well in the workshop, taking part and voicing their opinions. The children learnt how to be a good online citizen, how to keep personal details private and why , how and why accounts should be private and not public and lastly when online and chatting/messaging people how to block/delete and tell and adult.
Everyone had a great time and learnt a lot from the sessions. We thank the BEAM team and Martin Allen for all their help and support.
Here are a few things the children learnt from today.
"I learnt that if a hacker is in your account for only 3 seconds they can get lots of information" Ben Craig P6
"I learnt that public accounts can be dangerous and private accounts are safe" Lillie P6
"Now, when I'm online I will make sure any photos I post do not include my school badge, car reg or anything inside my house" Abbie P7
"When I'm online I will make sure I know the person before I add them as a friend" Chelsea P7
