Bridge Building in Year 6 and Year 7
Today Year 6 and Year 7 were provided with a challenge of creating a bridge using newspaper and masking tape to hold a 500 gram weight.
The children were provided with time to plan their bridge in their groups and then they had to work out what materials they would need to complete their bridges.
After lunch they were given an hour to build their bridges using the plan that they had created.
The children then had to test their bridges by placing a variety of weights on them. The heaviest weight held by a bridge was 2.5 Kg.
The children then were provided with time to evaluate their bridge and see what changes they would make.
