The children and staff had a wonderful day today to mark the celebration of King Charles lll. Mr Hunter delivered a very special ‘Royal Assembly’ and we finished by singing our favourite piece ‘King of Kings’.
The Eco Committee planned and organised a fun day and everyone came dressed for the occasion.
We went for a parade around the village to show off our royal attire. On our return to school we had some craft fun and bun decorating. This was hungry work! We all then enjoyed a lovely Coronation lunch and would like to thank Mrs Kelly for all her hard work in serving us our royal banquet. It was so tasty!
After lunch we had lots of fun outside on the bouncy castle and obstacle course. Although it was damp it did not dampen the fun had by everyone. They just went home with some ‘soggy socks!’
The Eco Committee finished the day by planting a tree to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles lll. The children all received a Coronation activity booklet.
I think by looking at all these photographs everybody had a great day. Thank you Mrs Hawthorne, Mr Hunter and The Eco Committee for a fabulous day. What a very special and fun day which we will remember. 🇬🇧 👑
