On Thursday 27th May, children in Tobermore Primary School will be taking part in 'Northern Ireland does the Daily Mile.' Children will be able to take part in this wonderful event on Thursday, but the actual event will not take place until Friday 28th May.
Children can walk or run to complete this event around the school playground.
The Daily Mile™ are hosting their first national event day in schools and across social media, because they want pupils across Northern Ireland to get active together, and connecting the importance of being active to mental health.
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, mental health awareness, especially in children and young people, and its relation to physical activity, is incredibly important.
Children will be allowed to wear their PE kit on Thursday to enable them to take part in this activity.
