Easter Holidays

7th Apr 2020

Parents/Guardians - please let your child/children read this or alternatively please read this to your child/children.

Good morning kids, today at 12:00pm marks the start of our Easter holidays. As we have mention on numerous occasions over the last few weeks, this is a very unusual time for us all and not the Easter holidays that all of us had thought we would have.

However, over the next number of days I want you to do the following

1) Stay safe,
2) Listen to your mum and dad,
3) Have fun,
4) Keep in contact with your friends and family through texting, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, Xbox Live or whatever else you are currently using and
5) Keep learning, I know you are on your holidays, but keeping reading, exploring and finding out new facts about new things.

When the Easter holidays are over, your teachers will have some new tasks for you to access online. All the staff have been working hard preparing lots of fun tasks and information to help you learn over the next few weeks.

More information will follow on this and your parents will get a password sent to them to access this information on our school website via text message. You will find some Numeracy and Literacy tasks, a World Around Us task and other smaller activities to keep you learning.

Keep getting your parents check our school website and Facebook page for more information and as always if you have you or they have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us for support.

Your teachers will also be taking a well deserved break over the Easter period but we are here if you need us.

Many thanks for all your hard work, patience, flexibility and understanding over the past while. Also a special mention to all the adults (parents, guardians, childminders, Governors, teachers, teaching assistants and other school staff) that have helped support you over this tricky time.

As our school vision states - ‘Together We Learn Together We Achieve,’ and this is especially true during this time.

Take care and enjoy your break,

Mr Cheevers and all the staff at Tobermore Primary School.
