On Monday 4th March Mrs Hawthorne's class attended a Fairtrade event organised by Mid Ulster Council in Dungannon. We were joined by other local schools in the area and had a chance to hear what each school is doing to support Fairtrade. Thank you to Kacey-lee who spoke so well representing our school in informing the audience on all the activities we have done in our school .
They provided us with a lovely Fairtrade snack of orange juice, fruit and biscuits before Yvonne presented a very informative PowerPoint. We then got to plant some peas and potatoes. This was a very enjoyable day and the children learnt a lot of information about Fairtrade.
We would like to thank the council for organising and hosting, and inviting us to this event and we look forward to getting involved in further Fairtrade activities in the future.
We would like to take this opportunity thank everyone for their support on the bun sale last week. We raised a total of sixty one pounds and fifty pence which The Eco Committee used to purchase some new playground toys.
