On Thursday afternoon Terry from Maghera fire station came to talk to our class. He gave us a very informative talk relating to fire safety both at home and in school. He told us about the importance of smoke alarms and how to care and use them, we talked about fire escape plans and important facts relating to electricity. We also discussed how to make the emergency call and what to tell the emergency services when we ring. We learnt a lot of very useful information and asked Terry some great questions which we can use to tell other members of our family. Primary 5 were given a resource pack with lots of activities and games to complete at home. Terry was very impressed with the pupils in our class and said we were the best class he has been to!
