In P3/4 this term we have been discussing and researching the effects of water on different materials. The children got the opportunity to investigate what would happen to Gummy Bears when placed in different liquids, these being...water, salt water and coke. The children got to complete a prediction sheet where they got to predict what would happen to each gummy bear. All children had a hands on part to play in the experiment. The Gummy Bears were left in the liquids over night and there was great excitement the next morning to find out what had happened. The children all had a super time and it was a great learning experience. In the incoming week we are looking forward to investigating what happens when boiling water is added to jelly and getting to gobble up the finished product!
