Harvest Assembly 2018

30th Oct 2018

We had a super Harvest Assembly. Many thanks to Reverend Ryan McKee for this years harvest message the children loved it as did the parents and staff. We look forward to having you back in Tobermore Primary School soon.

The children were fantastic in our assembly but a special mention must go out to the P1/2 classroom and their teacher Mrs Speers who managed to guide her class through a rendition of their song Autumn leaves without the assistance of a backing track due to technical problems. The pupils were brilliant and managed to perform fantastically well including actions. Mrs Speers followed that old saying of the show must go on and it was a credit to her and her pupils.

Mrs Smyth's class entertained us with a great Conkers song which was very catchy and Mr Dillon and Mrs Hawthorns class made us all very hungry with the song Give thanks for our food. The great thing was each class taught us a different element of what Harvest means and how thankful we are for it.

We had a very large attendance at the assembly and a thank you goes out to all who attended including the BOG members who attended giving their support for our school. This really makes a difference and gives our children an amazing opportunity to perform in front of an audience allowing them to grow in confidence and shine like the stars we know they are.

Thanks to Mr Montgomery for his closing remarks and to Annabel, Aaron and Matthew for presenting gifts.

We wish everyone a great mid term holiday and a safe mid term holiday. Children will return to school on Monday 5th November. Normal finishing times for all.
