On Thursday 24th June 2021, Tobermore Primary School in association with Cancer Focus are holding a ‘Hooray for Key Workers’ event.
The team at Cancer Focus Northern Ireland created this event to celebrate and say a special thank you to all key workers who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, including those who have cared for cancer patients and their families throughout this difficult time.
To acknowledge the dedication and continued hard work of key workers, Cancer Focus have called on primary schools across the province to get involved in their celebrations.
Children and staff will be encouraged to dress up as a Key Worker on this day. There are lots of ideas that can be chosen e.g. teachers, doctors, nurses, farmers, delivery drivers, postal workers, shop workers, etc. to name a few.
Cancer Focus Northern Ireland support all communities who have to deal with cancer and this is especially poignant in light of the news that our own school community received last week.
