A huge thank you to Jemma, for taking our Year 6 and Year 7 children on a virtual tour of Windsor park and telling us about some of the amazing past of the Northern Ireland football team.
The children learnt about the 142 year history of football in Northern Ireland and the development of the IFA. They also learnt about the first player from the island of Ireland to manage Barcelona, who eventually became known as the 'Saviour of Barcelona.'
Jemma reminded the children of Northern Ireland's 1982 and 1986 World Cup journeys in Spain and Mexico.
They also learned about the famous victory over England in 2005 with a David Healy hat trick.
