As Wednesday 24th January was International Day of Education, the children in P1 & P2 were shown some images and were then asked what they thought the images referred to. The answer was school and learning. The children then explored the articles on the Convention of the Rights to the Child to see which ones linked to school and education. They learnt all about Articles 28 and 29 and what they mean for children around the world. They enjoyed looking at different classrooms and were amazed that some children only had a tent. They came up with some great ideas about schools and why education is important. They loved drawing picture of their favourite days in school.
