Learning all About Capacity in P1&P2

The children have been enjoying learning about capacity and all the new associated vocabulary such as full, empty, half full, nearly empty and nearly full. They had fun sorting different sized containers and filling them to show full, half full, nearly full etc. We talked about different containers we have in school and at home and what they’re used for. The children were asked if they could choose one container to be full which one would it be? Their answers were a mixture of things like the sweetie jar, the biscuit tin and one even said that they would pick their bowl of vegetable soup because they just loved the soup! Which one would you pick? 😉😋
