Learning all about Capacity in P1&P2

The children had lots of fun filling and emptying containers to show full, empty, nearly full and nearly empty.  They waited very patiently for their turn, eager to demonstrate what they had learned.  There were lots of problem solving opportunities too such as;  how to fill the container to the top using water/sand? how to fill containers that were very narrow at the top, how could you show full/empty if the container had holes at the bottom?  P2 children were finding out which container holds the most?
