We had a lovely assembly today all about love and what it means to love. The children enjoyed listening to a recording of the poem, ‘A red, red rose’ by Robert Burns and other quotes about love from other authors. The children reflected on conditional and unconditional love and how our challenge is to love one another unconditionally. They then learned about the four types of love mentioned in the Old Testament and that the greatest one of all is, ‘Agape’, God’s love for us. The assembly concluded with the chorus, ‘Jesus love is very wonderful’. Thank you to members of our student council for looking after the PowerPoint and making sure everyone got a love heart. 😍
