P1/2 were exploring how they could help Incy Wincy Spider stay dry from all of the rain by testing out different materials to discover which would be the best to create an umbrella from. We tested cardboard, felt, tissue paper and paper towels. Then, the pupils searched outside and tried to find other materials that we could test, such as leaves and twigs. Afterwards, the pupils decided which material they would choose to make the umbrella from.
