P1&2 are 'Wacky Scientists'

The children in P1&2 carried out an experiment to find out which material would be best for a raincoat/umbrella.  After getting into groups of 3 - it was time to get all the equipment ready!  Each group had a syringe, a jug of water and 3 see through containers with different materials on top - felt, cotton and plastic.  They took turns filling the syringe and pouring the water on top of each container.  They had to watch carefully to see what happened.  Afterwards we discussed the results and agreed which material was the best and why.  If you want to find out which material was the best, just ask your child to tell you all about it.
