The children thoroughly enjoyed the fun-filled and jam-packed day! The day began in Maghera Library where the librarian read an array of rib tickling stories! The chlldren were introduced to 'Dirty Bertie' - a little boy who was rather enamoured with his nose! Then came the 'Pig in Pink Knickers!' If your knickers ever go missing from the washing line ... just ask your child to tell you who might be wearing them! At the end of the story a very unhappy pig lost his knickers, however there were lots of giggles when even I couldn't guess what item of clothing the pig wore next!!! The session ended with a variety of action rhymes and a sing song. Feel free to pop in at any time, you will be made most welcome! Fortunately for us the sun came out and we had a lovely walk around the walled gardens followed by a picnic lunch!
Lastly, but certainly not least, we headed off to the dentist and were met by a very cheerful, Mrs Henderson. She showed the children her surgery and spoke to them about looking after their teeth. They all had an opportunity to be either the dentist, dental nurse or the patient. Mrs Henderson and all the other staff present made the children feel at ease and gave them lots of reassurance about going to the dentist. It was a super day and we hope you enjoy browsing the photographs!
