On Friday we set off excitedly for the first meeting with our Shared Education partner school Glen Primary School, Maghera. This was the first activity of the Tudor project we are involved in and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was excellent from start to finish.
We were met with a wonderful warm welcome from the principal Mrs McKenna, who then introduced us to Mr McCloy and his P4 class. Jill from Speedwell trust was super and had the children engaged from the onset.
The activities were all centred around sharing and trust. They included moving a hoop around a circle, whilst holding hands, passing a ball backwards to each team member, getting to know you games and the last activity was where the children had to try and build the highest tower out of newspaper and tape....the competition was electric!
All the children mixed so well with one another. We are really looking forward to welcoming Glen Primary to our school in November and building on these friendships.
