P.3/P.4 Shared Education Trip

9th Mar 2020

Friday marked the first of our 6 session programme with St Columba's Primary School. Our programme this year is centred around 'Health and Wellbeing'. Our first day was called 'Bounce Back'. It was all about resilience and how children find ways of coping when things may become overwhelming. The day started off with children getting to know one another and then creating two friendship walls, one to display in each school. Then the children got active playing team games, which included the blindfold game which certainly produced lots of giggles. The children then had fun in the playground together at dinner time. The resident hens were a real hit with the boys and girls. In the afternoon the children produced lovely writing and art about their safe people and places and also the many things that make them feel happy or help them to relax. We had a wonderful day and look forward to our next day on Friday 13th March. Thank you to St Columba's for their warm welcome and hospitality throughout.
