P6/7: MUST PROJECT Team building activities in Parkanaur Forest
Tobermore Primary School are very lucky to be included in the MUST project again this year. The MUST project is run in association with the Speedwell Trust and our partner school Glen Primary School.
The children will have 4 sessions running from September to January. A special performance will take place at the end of January to showcase the project and what it has achieved.
During the project the children will meet in Parkanaur, twice in Tobermore PS and twice in Glen PS. Our first meeting was on Friday 30th September @ Parkanaur.
The children had a brilliant day. We started with a general getting to know you session followed by a very essential snack! Everyone then got ready for a timed orienteering activity. In mixed groups and supervised by an adult, the children armed with a map, a recording sheet and a stop watch set off exploring the forest and the meadow areas in the hunt for symbols.
This was a great activity with all the children mixing and working together as a team, supporting and encouraging each other.
Lunch followed as we all caught our breaths and got ready for the afternoon session of fun.
Bridge building using crates and planks, a blind rope walk in the forest and lastly gutter fun were our afternoon activities. The children and adults had a great afternoon and we look forward to the school based sessions to follow.
