What a busy day we had today. P3&4 talked about what Shrove Tuesday means. We then made some tasty pancakes using our ingredients of flour, sugar, buttermilk and eggs. Everyone enjoyed adding on their toppings. On the menu we had lemon juice, sugar, syrup, Nutella and jam. Nutella was definitely the favourite.
Primary 5-7 had a go and practicing their flipping skills with the pancake in the frying pan. It only landed on the floor a few times!
Primary 1 & 2 got hungry with the smell of pancakes so we made them a pancake each to taste. Everyone gave them a thumbs up.
Some pupils even took the recipe home to make another batch this evening. I hope you enjoy eating your pancakes. As for Mrs Hawthorne's pancake café, it is now officially closed until next year!
