Roy Lichtenstein Pop Art - Year 6 and Year 7
Year 6 and Year 7 enjoyed looking at the art work of Roy Lichtenstein with Mr Hunter and began to prepare some work around his artistic style.
The children traced their portraits and used these to complete an outline using black pen. After this the began colouring in the pictures using colouring pencils ready for the next part of their art lesson next week.
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody.
We are looking forward to see the completed pieces next week.
