Scotland

18th Jan 2018

Our topic in P.3/P.4 this term is Scotland. The children have been researching and learning all about the country. They have been looking at the different landscapes of Scotland such as the lakes and mountains in the highlands of Scotland. They have also been learning all about some of the larger cities, in particular Edinburgh. The children have enjoyed learning about the arts and culture of Scotland such as Scottish dancing and Bagpipe music. Some of the girls in class put on a show to display their Scottish dancing talents. They were fab! Next week we will be looking at foods typical to Scotland. One interesting fact that has grabbed their attention is the story of the Loch Ness Monster, or ‘Nessie’ as we like to call it in class. Here is some lovely art work the children have produced of ‘Nessie’.
