The children in P1 have been busy thinking of lots of different ways to sort a wide variety of objects. They were encouraged to look carefully for differences and similarities and sort accordingly. They often had to re-sort for different criteria - for example the bears were first sorted for colour, then re-sorted for size. The children have also been introduced to mathematical sorting diagrams (Venn, Carroll and Tree) and have been learning where to place the objects.
