On Wednesday 21st November Mrs Hawthorne's class went to Parkanaur Forest with pupils and staff from Glen Primary School as part of our Shared Education Project.
Our day was based on team building skills and despite the cold, wet weather we had great fun in the forest playing games and completing a treasure hunt. All the activities involved communicating with the team and working together. Everyone engaged very well with their team. At the end of the day we were all very tired and soggy looking. Mrs Hawthorne had to waken a few sleepy heads on the bus. As soon as Mrs Kelly saw Mrs Hawthorne and Miss Pickering she knew to get the kettle on for a much needed cup of hot tea to warm us up. (Thanks Mrs Kelly!) We thank Jill and her team from Speedwell for organising such a successful event and we look forward to further activities planned throughout the year.
