Sustrans Big Pedal
As part of our partnership with Sustrans we will be taking part in ‘Sustrans Big Pedal’ which runs from Monday 19th April until Friday 30th April.
During these two weeks the emphasis is on making active journeys’ to and from school. This can include cycling, walking, using your scooter/flicker or ‘park and stride’ for those who live outside the village. Each day our Sustran Champions in school will complete a tally of active journeys completed in each classroom. There will also be challenges and prizes to be won throughout the two weeks. Other schools in our area are also taking part so all results from each school will be recorded online. We would love to see Tobermore Primary School at the top of the leader board.
Each child will receive their tracker leaflet on Friday 16th April. We also want to encourage active activity at home and this can also be recorded on your leaflet. Anyone wishing to leave their bike, scooter/flicker in school should park them in the bike shelter during school time.
We will finish our challenge with a Non Uniform Day on Friday 30th April to raise funds for our Sustrans and Eco Committee.
