Today we did just that! 😉🎉
Throughout the past few weeks the children have been practising earnestly and today it all paid off! 😀
This morning we all set off to Coleraine Music Festival feeling a little apprehensive. 😬 We all had butterflies in our tummies. 🦋 First to perform was our P1-P3 choir with renditions of Postman Pat and If I Were a Butterfly. They were absolutely AMAZING and were awarded joint 2nd place with an honours score of 89, only one mark from 1st place! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩 The adjudicator’s comments were very complimentary. We couldn’t be prouder!
Next to sing was our P4-P7 choir with renditions of the Hippopotamus song and Lord We Lift Your Name on High. Once again they didn’t fail to impress with their ‘joyous’ performance. They too were AMAZING and were awarded joint 3rd with an honours score of 86! 👏🏻👏🏻🤩 Huge congratulations to all our children for their brilliant efforts and outstanding performances! Special mention too to the children who introduced the music pieces … even the adjudicator couldn’t fail to be impressed. 😉👍
None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of Miss Mitchell and Miss O’Neill who worked tirelessly preparing the children for today. Huge thanks and well done to both of you. Thanks also to Mrs Henderson, Mrs Hawthorne, Miss Henderson and Mrs Symth who also assisted with all the preparation, ensuring words were learnt and actions all succinct. Special mention to all our support staff including Mrs Robb for all the organising behind the scenes and supervision. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A special word of thanks to Mrs Hanna who gave up her free time to accompany the children so beautifully and expertly! 👏🏻👏🏻🎹
