Year 6 and Year 7 visit McKee's Butchers in Maghera

A huge thank you to Paul, Michelle and the staff of McKee's Butchers in Maghera for welcoming our Year 6 and Year 7 pupils to their factory on Tuesday 12th March.

The children had a fantastic time seeing the different parts of the factory, having a turn at preparing some of the food and putting food into the packaging to be sold at different shops.

There were lots of questions asked throughout the tour and the children loved learning about the different processes involved in the food preparation.

The children and staff left McKee's today with a £10 voucher to be used in the shop and they were also given the opportunity to create their own flavour of sausage, which will be sold in the shop.
