Today we welcomed Kerrie and Monica from Glenshane Vets to deliver a ‘bite awareness’ talk to the children. It was very informative and the children learned all about dogs and when it is safe to pet them. They learnt how to read a dog’s body language and what it meant if their ears were back, or their tail was up or if they were growling. The children were told to ask permission from the adult accompanying them first before approaching a dog and then ask the owner if it’s ok to pet their dog. Huge thanks to Kerrie and Monica for taking time to speak to the children and for all the lovely treats they brought them!
