Numeracy activities in P1 & P2

Data Handling- As we reached the end our topic on 'Pets' the children had to think of lots of different ways to sort the animals.  We used a variety of sorting diagrams to help - Tree, Carroll and Venn.  The children thought of super ways to sort the animals - colourful/not colourful, fly/not fly, would make a good pet/not a good pet. 

Measure - We then used some of the cuddly pets to find the shortest, tallest and longest.  The children had to put on their thinking caps and order the pets from shortest to longest/ shortest to tallest.
